Satirical Manifesto by an imaginary Art Group

Posted on the wall as people entered the show was a manifesto written by

“Dealing off the Bottom of the Deck”

Another exhibition put on by the art group: “The Face Cards”

We three kings and a jack affirm the radicality of our rascality by howling and snarling on the edges of our heartless society. Shamans of Shit, we clowns of culture make things of beauty while sneering at the high falutin’ institutions that would show them. We swim in the sludge of our time without affirming its moral bankruptcy. We shower in the shudders of our peers, fleeing from our place in the office buildings.

We are opposed to Barbie, CEO s, Santa Claus, Jesus, and puppies. We like the Kennedys because they are entertaining addicts without false modesty. The Plagues that are coming are good because the human race has shown itself unworthy of the privilege of breathing. We are in solidarity with the Uni-bomber who is our Godfather. We endorse bad parenting, the sniffing of rubber cement, addictions of all kinds particularly smoking, the ultimate nihilistic activity. We find that the poisoned mind is an inspired mind, and we spit on sidewalks with regularity.

We don’t consort with the sort of people that would show our work. It’s too humiliating. We decry the Institutions of high culture and their continual begging from the bowels of Banks. We like politicians because they are so agreeably phony.

We welcome all scorn, hatred and contempt and look forward to the blessed release of our guilt by our personal Virgin Goddess.

Signed,

The Face Cards

PS- If you see anything you like there is a price list at the desk.
