Address  to a Damsel in Distress

(Thanksgiving 2010)

Dear Tinsel tits,

My admission fee is not paid

Your shining nipples are blinding me

Tons are being dislodged

And clunking around in my attic.

You can hear the ticks and cracks

“No pay, no play “

Ay doll, “okay you say.”

I take that as a “no”.

Dear Dragon Lady,

“Where is your army?” you ask

“Dead on the field.” I say.

Your breath was enough to take the tough

Out every rough guy.

Here I stand, the last man ready to die

Like my pals for just one shot

At taking your battlements.

Dear Ice Queen,

With Finger-joints chilled with rigor mortis

And Cock frost bitten, my bed makes me shiver

You stand stock still

Like a pile of Axes.

I am not dressed for this, didn’t think ahead.

The smoke goes in your mouth and nose

And then blows

And you don’t drip.

The room is yours! Refrigerated,

 Conquered in cold comfort.

Dearest Dog Killer,

I see the laser light

Between my eyes

Guess I went in the trash once too often.

Me and the boys been howlin’

And sniffin’

Drinkin’ Jack and winkin’

Cussin’ and pissin’

On every passing car.

Take me back baby

To the proffered breasts

That divine space over your sternum

Where it’s not polite to stare.

I have lied, I have cheated I have bleated

Like a slaughtered lamb, cutting my own throat

Bathing the altar in splashing corpuscles.

Take me home

Where my seeds were sown

And brains were blown

The truth is….

I have never known

What I was doing.
